After three weeks of diving Taveuni, our Fiji adventures weren’t over yet!
From July 25 to August 1, another group of MAR Maids joined us for a week of diving, luxury villas, pool hopping, and island life at Volivoli.
This trip had a little bit of everything we love about a women’s dive trip: incredible diving, beautiful accommodations, an easy resort experience, and a group that quickly became one big family.
Several women told us they had some of the best dives of their lives. And when we weren’t underwater? We were usually jumping between our private villa pools!

About our VoliVoli Fiji Dive Trip
Our Volivoli trip was an 8-day, 7-night women’s group dive trip with 12 boat dives and unlimited shore diving.
One of the best things about this trip was how easy everything was once we arrived.
We stayed in shared two-bedroom luxury villas, with four travelers in each villa. Everything we needed was onsite, including our meals, dive operation, shore diving, activities, and plenty of places to relax.
Our villas even had private pools!
The villas were close together, so our group quickly took over the area. Everyone started pool hopping between villas to visit friends, hang out after diving, and share the space like one big family.

Meals were another highlight, with breakfast, lunch, and dinner included every day. We also had a beach BBQ, traditional Meke performance, resort activities, and a hosted event on our final night.
Adventure Level: MHT Adventure
Getting to Fiji and travelling beyond the main tourist areas can take a little extra time.
Travelers should be prepared for longer transfers, limited connectivity, and some of the little inconveniences that come with visiting more remote islands.
Once at Volivoli, however, this was one of our easiest trips.
Everything was onsite and the service was incredible. Our Concierge Support Level meant travelers could settle in, unpack their dive gear, and let the resort and MHT team take care of the details.

Life at Voli Voli
This was one of those trips where the group experience happened naturally.
Everyone was staying close together. We ate together, dove together, and spent our afternoons jumping between the villa pools.
There were kayaks and stand-up paddleboards available when anyone wanted to explore, but there was also absolutely nothing wrong with spending the afternoon in the pool!
One of our cultural highlights was a traditional Meke performance, sharing Fijian music, dance, and storytelling with the group.
Between the diving, meals, pools, and evenings together, it didn’t take long for the villas to feel like one big home.

Why Dive Fiji with MHT?
Fiji is an incredible destination for a group dive trip, especially for solo travelers who don’t want to navigate a remote international dive vacation alone.
We take care of the logistics, airport transfers, accommodation, dive planning, and group experience so you can concentrate on the fun part.
And on a women’s dive trip like Volivoli, you arrive with an entire group of potential dive buddies.
That became especially valuable in Fiji.
These dives require good buddy awareness and confidence underwater. Travelling with a supportive group means you have people to prepare with, dive with, learn alongside, and celebrate with when you surface from one of the best dives of your life.
Plus, when the dive day is done, you’ll probably know which villa pool everyone has migrated to.

How to Prepare for Fiji Diving
Fiji is best enjoyed when your basic dive skills already feel comfortable.
Before joining a Fiji dive trip, we recommend being confident with:
- Buddy checks and buddy awareness
- Buoyancy and trim
- Monitoring your own air, depth, and no-decompression limits
- Descending without relying on a line
- Negative entries
- Diving in moderate current
- Following a dive guide without needing constant assistance
If some of these skills are still new, that’s okay. We recommend building experience on easier MHT trips before making Fiji your next destination.
Trips with calmer conditions are a great place to build independence first. Costa Rica can then introduce you to more variable Pacific conditions before progressing into destinations like Fiji, Panama, and Colombia.
For experienced divers, Fiji is also fantastic preparation for some of our more challenging trips, including Socorro and the Galápagos.
The goal isn’t just to be able to complete the dives.
It’s to arrive confident enough that you can stop thinking about your equipment and skills and start looking around at those incredible Fijian reefs.

Would We Go Back to Fiji?
Absolutely!
We loved our time at Volivoli and learned so much from spending a month diving different parts of Fiji.
Our 2028 return trip is already sold out, but we’re not finished exploring.
There are so many islands, reefs, and remote corners of Fiji still waiting for us, and we’re already looking forward to seeing where our next Fijian adventure takes us.
