I’m signed up, how do I find info on my trip?
Once you have registered for a trip, you are added to our group chat for that trip.
You can find everything you need in the group chat by following these instructions.
What insurance do I need for a trip?
All MHT divers are required to obtain dive insurance. This protects you if you have a diving related incident.
We recommend DAN or Dive Assure.
We also recommend Travel Insurance. This protects you if you can’t attend the trip for any reason, your bag is lost, flight delays, etc.
Do I need to have my own dive gear?
All MHT Divers must have:
– Dive Computer
– DSMB (delayed surface marker buoy (like this one)
We also recommend owning a mask, fins, and your preferred exposure suit for the conditions.
My partner doesn’t dive, can they come on the trip?
At this point, we only take scuba divers on our trip. This is what aligns with our community values and creating strong bonds with our travelers.
We plan to offer non-diving trips in the future, so be sure you’re on our email list to learn when those start happening!
I don’t have a dive buddy, can I still sign up?
Yes, yes, 1000 times yes!
Actually, most of our travelers arrive not knowing anyone on the trip.
We have developed our own personality quiz to pair up buddies based on experience and skill level. You never have to worry about holding someone back or not fitting in to the group 🫶
I am a solo traveler, do I have to pay a single supplement fee?
Nope! No punishment for traveling alone here. 💪
We base our trip fees on 2 people to a room (generally), and use our custom personality quiz to match roommates based on personal preferences.
But! If you prefer your own space, most of our trips have the option to pay extra to have your own room.
Where can I buy pink dive gear?
We get asked this question a lot! We love sporting fun and colourful dive gear and accessories, so we put together our favourite brands here.
Do I need a wetsuit?
Exposure protection is an extremely personal preference, so it’s hard to tell you what you need. But, here is a general guideline for most people:
Warm Water: 27c/80f and warmer
– Rashguards, skins, no wetsuit needed
Moderate: 24 – 27c / 75-80f
– 3mm full suit
Cool: 22-24c / 70-74f
– 5mm full
Cold: <22c / 70f
– 7mm or drysuit
These recommendations are based on the average person diving more than 2 dives a day
How can I pay for my trips?
We send invoices through Square, they can be paid via the following methods:
1. Credit Card directly on your invoice
2. ACH Bank Transfer
3. Zelle to marhostedtrips@gmail.com
I signed up for a trip and can no longer go, can I switch to another trip?
The unique thing about MHT is that all our trips are one-of-a-kind, working with local operators in each location we go.
This unfortunately means that when you pay for a trip, the money has to stay on that trip and can’t be moved around.
If you can no longer attend a trip, you need to cancel, and then rebook on a new trip that works for you!
