It was my first official dive trip since getting certified and I had an amazing experience. While the sea life and reefs were beautiful in Cozumel, Maira hosting is what really made the trip magical. She provided us with an authentic cultural experience (underwater & on land haha) and it was very apparent that she was intentional about every single detail of the trip. The logistics of planes, vans, and ferries were taken care of and all I had to do was follow along. The planning of this trip was meticulously done. I traveled solo to the Philippines to scuba dive with strangers; or so I thought! This group was FANTASTIC!! The resorts were incredible, dive masters were safe, professional and knowledgeablege, and the food was INCREDIBLE!! My dive buddy and roommate were picked for me and BOTH were excellent!! Do NOT hesitate to book a trip, they fill up fast and there's a reason for that!! Puerto Galera and Dumaguete Philippines WERE on my Bucket List and I am so grateful to have checked it off the list. I just wrapped up my first adventure with Mar Hosted Trips, and it was absolutely incredible! I booked the May 2025 Philippines trip to Puerto Galera and Dumaguete, and from start to finish, it was a breeze. The booking process was super easy, and the communication was always quick and helpful. Honestly, the hardest part was just waiting for the trip to start! The travel logistics—planes, vans, ferries, you name it—were flawlessly coordinated. Moving a group of 25 people across islands to our dive resorts was no small task, but Mar Hosted Trips nailed it. Everything ran smoothly, and we always felt safe and well taken care of. I was especially impressed when, on the way home, the resort staff personally escorted us all the way to the airport gate and even helped with our luggage—what a thoughtful touch! This was my first time traveling solo to meet a group of strangers who love diving as much as I do, and it turned out to be the best part. I met so many wonderful women and left feeling like I’ve found my diving tribe—with new friends from all over the world. I can’t wait to book another trip with Mar Hosted Trips. A truly amazing time. Can’t wait for the next one. If you’re a solo traveler or coming with friends, it doesn’t matter. Everyone will make you feel welcome and safe. Prepare for lots of fun, great dives and booking more trips in the future. This was my first trip with them but most people in the group have been on 5+ trips with just as many booked in the future. Maira has really cultivated a following and for good reason. The group ranged in age from 30-60+. Just completed my 2nd trip with Mar Hosted Trips and once again I had the most wonderful time. The Philippines was absolutely beautiful. My last trip was Honduras. On October last year I decided to do the reactivate course after finding this amazing company on Facebook. I only had 2 dives under my belt before joining them for a full week of diving in Roatan. WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!!! Being surrounded by these amazing human beings and learning so much from them in such a short time is mind blowing. I went by myself, without knowing anyone or ever had spoken to any of them and by day 1 we were like a little family. I have already signed up for 2 more trips! Can’t wait to join them again.
